The Scribble Shed was opened by Maddie in October 2018 with the hopes of bringing something different to the tattoo experience.

Maddie had heard too many accounts from clients about intimidating tattoo studios, where people were made to feel like they didn't belong. Having dealt with anxiety for most of her life, Maddie wanted to create a safe space, free of judgement and give people a more relaxed tattoo experience.

We are proud to be a female owned, women led business that advocates for inclusivity and body positivity, we are allies to the LGBTQ+ community and consider our studio to be a safe space for all. We have a zero tolerance policy on discrimination, within the shop and on our online platforms.

We offer silent sessions if you struggle with feeling overwhelmed, and you can specify this style of appointment during the booking process. We want to make our studio as comfortable for ND peeps as possible, so let us know if there is anything we can do to help you during your appointment.

We are a vegan friendly, all female staffed studio, we want you to feel at home, whether it's your first tattoo, or your hundredth!
